What is Sacred Resistance?

Sacred Resistance is faith with its sleeves rolled up. It’s where prayer and protest go hand in hand, where the Gospel doesn’t just comfort—it confronts. It’s the sacred fire that won’t let injustice, silence, or complacency have the final say.

It’s Moses standing toe-to-toe with Pharaoh saying, “Let my people go.”It’s the prophets checking kings and calling out corruption. It’s our ancestors humming spirituals in the face of bondage, knowing freedom was their birthright. It’s the faith of Black grandmothers, the ones who pray with one hand and organize with the other.

It’s truth-telling. It’s liberating. It’s necessary.

Why Me?

Because I know what it means to love God and love justice at the same time. Because I refuse to separate my faith from my fight. Because I believe in a Gospel that doesn’t just save souls but also sets captives free.

I write because our stories deserve to be told.I push back because silence has never saved us.I take up space because I was never meant to shrink.

So if you’re looking for a faith that’s comfortable and convenient? This might not be your stop.

But if you’re here for the kind of faith that speaks truth, stirs the waters, and turns over tables when necessary? Then welcome to Sacred Resistance Journal. You’re right on time.

Transcendence AND Resistance: A Map and a Movement.

Sacred Resistance is both standing firm and rising higher. It’s feet planted and eyes lifted. It’s the fire of the prophets and the endurance of the saints. To resist is to refuse the lie that oppression is permanent. To transcend is to hold onto a truth even greater than injustice: that liberation is inevitable. That freedom is our birthright. That the God of the oppressed has always been in the business of breaking chains.

Resistance without transcendence leads to burnout. Transcendence without resistance leads to complacency. But together? They make us unstoppable.

Join the Movement

Sacred Resistance isn’t just a journal—it’s a call to action. It’s for the truth-tellers, the table-turners, the ones who refuse to let faith be weaponized against justice. It’s for those who know that prayer and protest belong in the same breath.

If you’ve ever felt caught between the pews and the picket line—if you’ve ever longed for a faith that fights as fiercely as it loves—you are not alone.

This is your invitation. Not to sit on the sidelines, but to step into the story.
